Roasted Chickpea Recipe

Snacking is a dangerous habit for us and a while back I found a crazy simple and delicious snack alternative that’s healthier as well – roasted chickpeas !!
We have at least 15 favorite different seasonings that we use regularly so it’s a snack that never gets boring.
One of my favorites is using our Roasted Garlic & Red Pepper seasoning , but I also love our Taco seasoning , our Tandoori, Thai and Tequila Lime seasonings !! So tasty and so satisfying whether by the handful or tossed in on top of salads & soups.

Roasted Chickpeas

2 can of chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans)
2 tbsp olive oil
2-3 tbsp of your favorite seasoning blend (we used our Roasted Garlic & Red Pepper this time!)

-preheat oven to 400 degrees
-wash and rinse the 2 cans of chickpeas
-pat the chickpeas dry then toss into a bowl with the olive oil and coat well.
– spread out chickpeas onto a baking sheet into a single layer
– bake for 20 to 30 minutes , stirring every 10 minutes so they roast evenly
– take out of oven and immediately toss with the seasoning, add gradually 2 tbsp and then maybe up to 4 tbsp so that you get the perfect amount, gauge it by your flavor desire.

Best enjoyed hot straight from oven but they are even delicious once cooled down and in a chewier state !
