Hibiscus Vinaigrette

Hibiscus just isn’t for tea – bright color and delicious tanginess makes for a great ingredient for vinaigrette!

You will first need to make up a quick and easy batch of our Hibiscus Syrup Recipe, trust us you’ll find multiple ways to use this delicious sweet nectar!
Then use it as the ‘sweet’ aspect for a homemade vinaigrette and you’ll never again use sugar or honey.

In a bowl or a shaker jar is best, combine the following:

2 tblsp of minced garlic
1/3 cup red wine vinegar (We’ve also used rice wine vinegar & champagne vinegar with delicious results)
3 Tbsp hibiscus syrup
2 tsp dijon mustard (our Truffle Mustard works deliciously(
1/2-1 tsp salt
1/2-1 tsp ground black pepper
2/3-1 cup high-quality olive oil

Blend well or shake vigorously and you have the most delicious and healthier salad dressing you’ll ever make.

THis also would be a delicious marinade for chicken on the grill!

** And don’t forget to try the ‘candied’ hibiscus leaves leftover from making the Hibiscus Syrup as a salad topper
