Easy Scones and Delicious Tips

Our Sticky Fingers Scone Mixes are so easy to bake (just add water and use a fork) and so delicious, that having fresh-baked scones on the table will quickly become a family favorite throughout the week! Below we are sharing some delicious ideas PLUS

Our young chef friend Emelaine shows just how simple it is to bake with our delish scone mixes. A great cook-with-kids dish that will make your weekend morning breakfast memories even more special!

Delicious Tips

– Add Fresh Fruit! Fresh fruit can be added to the mix before baking or as a topping after baking.
– Add Lavender Buds or a dash of vanilla for a flavor boost!
– Add chips! Chocolate chips, cinnamon chips, coconut chips, toffee chips. There are so many different types of chips that can be added to our scone mix.

A delicious and colorful scone perfect for your weekend brunch table.
– Prepare any of the scone mixes as instructed and place on pan.
– Make an indentation/shallow hole on top of the unbaked scones with the back of a spoon.
– Fill each with fruit preserves or jam.
– Follow package instructions for baking.

 

Make Savory Scones
These going perfectly with soup, stews, and chili. Get creative!

Garlic Cheddar & Chive Scones
– Pour 1 pkg of Original Scone flavor mix into a bowl.
– Add 1tsp of garlic powder, 2 tblsp of chives, 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar, blend well then mix in water.
– Bake according to package instructions.

– Pour 1 pkg of Original Scone flavor mix into a bowl.
– Add 1 tbsp of Maple Powder, blend into the dry mix, and then mix in water per instructions.
– After forming scones onto a baking sheet, brush tops with an egg wash (see below for instructions)
– Bake according to package instructions.
– Make a simple glaze of 1 cup powdered sugar 1 tblp maple syrup powder and 1 to 2 tblp of milk (almond, rice, soy, cow)
– Sprinkle Bacon Salt immediately on top of glaze before it sets

How To Make An Egg Wash
Crack an egg into a bowl and beat it thoroughly with a fork.
Add 2 tablespoons of water and a pinch of salt. Stir until combined.
Brush the egg wash onto the surface of your item.
