Morning gatherings, poolside relaxing, garden parties, weekends at the lake… all perfect moments to enjoy a really good Bloody Mary. We’re providing you some delicious tips and recipe suggestions to create the best Bloody Mary ever!
Tomato Juice Made Better
Bloody Mary’s can easily be made better by just a few easy additions! Based on using 2 cups of tomato juice start by adding a squeeze of half a lemon, 1/2 tsp celery salt, 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce, a pinch of salt and pepper, and if you’d like to add vodka or gin start with 2oz.
You can also make it more simple and even more delicious by just adding 2-3 tsp of our Bloody Mary Seasoning that has an amazing blend of the perfect spices, herbs, and more.
A dash of hot sauce also gives a nice kick to this savory beverage.
Rimming The Glass
Like a bow on a gift, adding a tasty “rim” to your glass can sometimes make all the difference! Use a lemon or lime slice around the lip of the glass, after the rim of the glass is damp, simply dip the rim onto a small plate or shallow bowl filled with 4 tsp of your desired bloody mary rim salt recipe.
We love using one of these for rimming our Bloody Mary Glasses:
- Bacon Salt
- Everything Bagel Seasoning
- Shake On Steak Seasoning (no really it’s delish!)
- All Purpose Seasoning Whole
- Salad Plus Topper
- Celery Salt
Extreme Skewer Tips
Half the fun of modern-day Bloody Marys is the nibble packeted skewers you can create. Cheese cubes, olives, pickles, pearl onions, cut veggies, salami slices, and cocktail shrimp are just the beginning!! Dilled green bean, pickled asparagus, whole bacon slices, mini bagels, pizza rolls, chicken wings… the options are endless.
And for the best results with your skewers here are some tips that will help:
– Cook your bacon on a skewer for best support but soak the skewers in water before putting in the oven cook 375 for 18 min.
– Use thick-cut bacon for a better hold on the skewers
– When using shrimp leave the tails on for presentation but take off before eating
– Fold pepperoni in half to create a ribboned effect
– Use multicolored grape tomatoes to add pops of color
– Skewer olives to where you can see the pimento
– Rim the glass with spicy seasonings with a paprika blend for a pop of color and texture
– Using lots of crushed ice will keep the drink cold & hold the skewers in place
– Pour the mix from a spouted container for an easier pour
– Trim some of the skewers to create different levels
