Citric Acid

Citric Acid adds an acidic/sour taste, much like lemon juice. Natural acid that is found in many fruits, is very bitter, and gives fruits like lemons and limes their characteristic sour flavor. Acts as a preservative, enhancing the shelf life of foods like pickles and sauces. Sprinkle it on to reduce discoloration of fruits and vegetables. Also called "sour salt".
