Ancho Chili Pepper - Whole

Ancho Chili Pepper is a dried reddish, brown pepper and has a sweet, hot flavor and are the sweetest of the dried chiles. They are used in authentic Mexican cooking, especially red chili and tamales. For most recipes, soak whole peppers for 30 minutes in hot water to restore before using. When fresh, they are called poblanos.
