Allspice is also known as pimento; its name derives from the flavor, which resembles a blend of cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Available whole and ground. Uses include baking puddings, relishes, fruit preserves, sweet potatoes, barbeque sauce, French dressing, and mince meat.
