Thompson’s Farm Italian Lentil and Rice Soup is a great soup full of classic flavor! Follow the included recipe. This soup can be made in the slow cooker or on the stove top. Add 1 chicken breast, 12 cups of water, 1 14.5oz can petite diced tomatoes, 3 chicken bouillon cubes (or broth). Boil chicken in water until tender. Remove chicken and cut into bite size pieces. Refrigerate. Add water to bring the chicken stock back to 12 cups. Add soup mix, tomatoes, and bouillon cubes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Stir frequently to prevent sticking. Add chicken and heat through. Serve with grated parmesan cheese and crusty Italian bread.
