Moroccan Chicken Wings
Want to try a tasty new twist on your usual chicken wings? Try this delicious Moroccan Chicken Wing recipe that has a little heat, a little sweet and loads of flavor!
Ingredients
Wings
- 2 1/2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons of Harissa Paste
- 1 tablespoon of honey (optional if you don’t want the sweetness to your wings)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of white sesame seeds
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Yogurt dip
- 1 cup plain Greek-style yogurt
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- In a medium bowl blend the vegetable oil, harissa paste, and honey (optional sweetness), then set to the side.
- In a small bowl blend the paprika, cumin turmeric, salt, and pepper.
- Pat your chicken wings dry with paper towels and then put them in a large bowl.
- Toss them with the dry spice blend until fully coated and then drizzle them with the wet sauce mixture until the wings are thoroughly coated.
- Bake the wings for 40 to 45 minutes until they are cooked through, when done place on a serving platter, and sprinkle on the sesame seeds and the fresh chopped parsley. Serve with the Greek-style yogurt sauce.
